Designed by Niccolò Pericoli, known as "Il Tribolo," the Boboli Gardens complex is one of the most outstanding examples of Italian Renaissance landscaping. Its sequence of breathtaking views, unfolding through an architecturally orchestrated display of rare and unique botanical treasures, are further heightened by the many masterpieces of art strategically placed along the way, such as: Buontalenti's Grotto, Giambologna's Ocean Fountain, the Amphitheatre and the colossal Statue of Plenty. Litta Medri is the Director of the Boboli Gardens. Giorgio Galletti is the Director of the Villas, Parks, and Gardens Office.
