Born in Florence in 1469, he was a historian, philosopher, writer, playwright as well as one of the greatest and most controversial politicians of his time. His most famous work, The Prince, earned him the title of father of political science. Like other Renaissance men, he is remembered for his intellect and numerous talents. He died in 1527 in Florence.
