Also in Florence, ‘Il Regno’ was founded by Enrico Corradini, the first important press organ of Italian nationalism. Lastly comes ‘Hermes’, a literary magazine inspired by D’Annunzio. In the same fertile 1903, the first issue of Benedetto Croce’s ‘La Critica’ was published in Naples, with the intention of carrying out a critical activity guaranteed by the authoritative presence of Croce and Giovanni Gentile.
