MUSEO DI SAN MARCO. LA GUIDA UFFICIALE

The site of Beato Angelico’s splendid frescoes, and a place deeply imbued with memories of the Dominicans, the Museum of San Marco – designed and restored by Michelozzo between 1436 and 1446 – preserves intact the spiritual atmosphere of the ancient convent in which it is located. Some of the Order’s most distinguished figures dwelt here, from St Antonino to Fra Angelico, from Fra Bartolomeo to Girolamo Savonarola.
